PROJECT LIFE WEEKS 20 & 21

Well I'm all caught up with my Project Life. This past month I've struggled with time and not having enough photos. The perfectionist in me won't let me skip a week so for week 20 I went for stroll around our garden and snapped away.

I am still loving Project Life more than ever and I know I will finish the whole year, just some weeks are easier than others. Simple was the key to getting these layouts done, it really doesn't matter how simple you make it, the pages are telling a story and that is all that matters. I printed out more freebie journaling cards this week, there are so many out there but finding a good cardstock to print them on where I live isn't easy. I now buy large sheets from Lincraft and cut them down myself, they are a good weight and have a slight gloss to them but it's not the most economical way to do it.

ARRIVED

My Mother's Day present arrived today.

I have been waiting to buy this book all year, since I began crocheting actually. I have looked through it at our local Spotlight store but refused to pay $45 for it. Darren said I should order it online for Mother's Day, so I did and it only cost $15 with free postage, of course that meant I had to wait a couple of weeks for it, but for that saving, I'm happy!

Tonight will be spent by the fire with book in hand and a cup of green tea by my side. Lovely.

I'll leave you with what was a new toy for Dante that Sophie made. We went to the shops for a few minutes and here is what we came back too.

Dante found the toy, destroyed the toy, then didn't even try to move away from the evidence.

WINTER WARMTH

Another hot water bottle cover completed. This one is Sophie's, she chose the colours and I think she did pretty well.

She will get a nice suprise to see it finished when she comes home from school this afternoon.

PROJECT LIFE - WEEK 19

I am one week behind with this project but should be all caught up by the end of the week. Week 19 has a sort of a homey feel to the pages, I wonder what I ever did before washi tape?

COMFORT FOOD

I spent today in the kitchen cooking up some yummy comforting food for my family. Darren is feeling under the weather so what better way to make him feel better than with a hearty vegetable and beef soup with homemade crusty bread.

While I was at it, I made up a couple of quiches to satisfy some hungry bellies.

Warming nourishing food for a cold winter-like day.

PROJECT LIFE WEEKS 17 & 18

I've been a little slack in taking the photos and posting about my project Life for the last few weeks. It's week 20 already, week 19 is nearly finished, I just have to add a little more journaling.
